MADAR opens Dh75 million steel factory

DUBAI — MADAR Steel Industries, a subsidiary of MADAR Holding, opened yesterday its Dh75-million factory at Dubai Investment Park that would produce 300,000 tonnes of steel per year. In a statement, MADAR said the facility is among the largest of its kind in the Gulf states, and will start operation next month.

"Our aim is to deliver the highest quality materials within the quickest possible time," said Sameh Hassan, CEO of MADAR Holding. "We are here to support the construction industry and are making every effort to ensure that our service meet the highest standards expected in the industry."

The statement said the facility would be a state-of-the-art cut-and-bend and wire-mesh factory whose services will include cutting straight steel bars to length, Rebar coil straightening, and cutting-and-bending steel. Its products will include standard mesh and tailor-made wire mesh.
