Customers of Union National Bank (UNB), Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Al Hilal Bank can withdraw funds from the three lenders' ATM networks free of charge.
"Dear customer, you can now use the ATM networks of UNB, ADCB and Al Hilal Bank, free of charge," UNB said in a statement on its website.
As per the UAE Central Bank rules, customers are charged Dh2 fee when they are withdrawing funds from other banks' ATMs.
UNB and ADCB are in the process of merger which will jointly acquire Al Hila Bank. The consolidation process and system integration is currently underway. On March 21, shareholders of the two banks approved the merger and taking over of the Shariah-compliant Al Hilal Bank.
