As part of the coveted launch, Etisalat is offering the first-in-line double play bundles to its eLife (FTTH: Fiber to the Home) connected customers.

eLife double play will offer benefits of convenience, coverage and value to customers by combining two of Etisalat’s most popular services - fixed Broadband Internet and Landline services- in one bundled offer, delivered through a single access network.

Etisalat’s eLife fiber-connected customers will now be able to subscribe to both these services through a single account rather than subscribing to each service individually. eLife double play will not only provide cost-effectiveness and enhanced savings to its customers, but will also provide convenience of maintaining a single account and will deliver significant value through its integrated customer service, combined value-added services, one-time installation and single bill/payment.

Essa Al Haddad, Chief Marketing Officer at Etisalat, said, “Etisalat’s innovation vision is now being realized with our nationwide eLife FTTH roll-out that will position Abu Dhabi as the first Capital City in the world with 100% fiber deployment by the end of this year. Also set to make UAE one of the first countries in the world to have nationwide fiber optics deployment by 2011, the eLife network will enable ‘Digital Homes’ that will empower customers to realize the numerous capabilities and unmatched potential of a home’s many connected devices.”

“Double play bundling is the first offering being introduced under the eLife proposition, and is just the beginning of Etisalat’s innovation and value pyramid. In the coming year, Etisalat also plans to offer higher broadband access speeds: up to 100 Mbps including Voice Minutes of use and many more value-added services to customers through eLife. This will also improve customer experience while downloading music and movies, networking on community centric portals like facebook and YouTube, for which they require seamless connectivity and higher speeds,” Al Haddad added.

As an introductory promotion valid till 15 January 2010, Etisalat is offering eLife double play bundle at significantly discounted rates of up to 40% in order to encourage customers experience increased convenience, radically higher speeds (up to 16 times) and huge savings over traditional packages. Available now in Starter, Master, Premier and Max service packs of Dh164, Dh 204, Dh 264 and Dh 364 respectively, eLife double play will offer a standard set of Internet features such as email boxes, anti-virus protection and hotspot hours, based on customer needs and preferences, for a usage period of three months.

Customers also stand to benefit with additional value generated on any of the eLife double play bundles by receiving bonus services included in the package, such as extra hours of Internet hotspots, high-definition voice, caller ID, voicemail access and 20 minutes of IDD or STD per month.

“Until now, our customers viewed Etisalat with three different perspectives depending on the service they were using. With a combined service, they will not only benefit from our integrated offerings, but also immensely benefit from the combined value and higher savings being provided to them by Etisalat,” he added.

In 2010, Etisalat will be introducing several integrated innovative services like High Definition TV (HDTV), Video on Demand (VoD) with thousands of titles to choose from, service combining TV with Voice and Internet with TV and many more such creative combinations that will change the traditional way landline, broadband and TV/Video services are consumed and enjoyed. Customers will also enjoy the boost in TV content of all types catering to their preferences: Arabic, Bollywood, Hollywood, etc. Etisalat is bullish on the future Digital Home technologies and will be announcing many initiatives that will make digital home a reality for customers.

eLife is based on the FTTH technology that connects all the services through a single optical fiber, making it affordable, reliable and far simpler than the traditional cable connectivity. Etisalat has already connected over 665,000 households and has reached the final stage of completion of the FTTH connectivity in Abu Dhabi, scheduled to be completed by end of this year. With eLife connecting all the households in Abu Dhabi, the city will become the world’s first 100% FTTH-connected capital. Etisalat is also in the process of connecting Dubai, Sharjah and through eLife, aims to connect the whole of UAE households by 2011.
