Dubai Festival City Mall has announced that it will open a brand new Family Entertainment Centre (FEC) in December, further reinforcing the mall's reputation as a prominent leisure and entertainment destination.
The announcement follows the signing of an agreement between Dubai Festival City Mall and leading Saudi conglomerate Al-Othaim for its FabyLand family entertainment concept.
"FabyLand will give Dubai Festival City Mall visitors the edge in family entertainment options and it will complement the destination's overall retail and leisure offering," said Brad Merchant, GM of Dubai Festival City Mall.
"This new entertainment venue will play a major part in Dubai Festival City Mall's Dh1.2 billion expansion programme designed to offer an enhanced level of possibilities and experiences for our customers. These plans build on Dubai's strength and appeal as one of the world's must-visit family destinations and on the ever growing need to offer residents more choices for their entertainment," said Merchant.
The unique 'FabyLand' Family Entertainment Centre will cover an area of 70,000sqf. It will signal the arrival to Dubai of a brand new entertainment venue with a 'futuristic' ambience, featuring a wide array of thrilling rides, many other attractions for teenagers and adults alike, including My Town, a new concept that combines entertainment with physical activities for children and toddlers.
Mohammad Attia, General manager of business development - GCC at Al-Othaim, said: "In the Al-Futtaim group, we have found a solid partner with whom our flagship family entertainment concept, FabyLand will make its first inroads in Dubai's burgeoning shopping mall scene. We are excited with the prospects presented to us from our partnership with Al-Futtaim Group." - business@khaleejtimes.com
