Lebanon to stock up fuel oil supplies
BEIRUT- Lebanon has decided to stock up on supplies of fuel oil for its power stations ahead of an expected US-led war on Iraq, daily An-Nahar reported.
The government has contacted ministers for their approval to spend 50 million dollars on fuel oil for the state electricity utility Electricite du Liban (EDL), it said. Since oil shot up in price on the international markets, EDL has had problems providing a constant supply to customers.
