Land transactions top Dh.122.61m

DUBAI — The total value of land transactions in Dubai yesterday peaked at Dh122.61 million, of which, sales exceeded Dh.58 million.

The total value of mortgages during the period was Dh.64.58 million, according to the Land Department.

A total of 11 sale transactions were registered with the department by the end of the day, the most valuable of which was a plot in Al Karama that was sold for Dh.15.5 million.

The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Al Nahda Second acquired for the sum of Dh.7.5 million and another in Eyal Nasser for Dh.6 million

The Um Al Sheif area was the most active in terms of the day's sales, with some 3 transactions. Al Barsha Second followed it with 1 sale.

During the period, Al Karama recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dh.15.5 million, followed by the Um Al Sheif area, Dh.13.94 million, and Al Nahda Second area, Dh.7.5 million.

The biggest area sold was the 20000 sq ft in the Muhaisanah First area, which went for Dh.3.1 million. A 17686 sq ft plot in the Um Al Sheif Area was acquired for Dh.5.13 million, while 15000 sq ft of Al Barsha Third was disposed of for Dh.2.55 million.

During the period under review 10 mortgages worth Dh.29.12 million were registered, the most significant of which as the Dh.21.5 million for an area at Al Goze Industrial First. There was another for Dh.10.4 million on an area in Emirates Hills.
