Since the start of the pandemic, the world has gone from sanitising daily to disinfecting several times a day. Scientists around the world have been working on developing surface sanitisers that not only provide constant protection but also last for long periods of time.

Spray Safe, a UAE-based company co-founded by Aditya John of Earnest Healthcare and Dev Chopra of Flosmart Solutions, has found the solution in nano-technology to protect us against viruses and bacteria.

They have introduced a self-sanitising surface coating that lasts on all surfaces for 90 days - keeping the applied surface bacteria-and virus-free at all times. Its Cationic AgNP technology has been extensively tested in the US for its efficacy against viruses such as Covid-19 and influenza.

Surfaces, such as a door handle, handrail or elevator button, that may have been sanitised 15 minutes ago will become contaminated as soon as the next person has touched it. If that surface was coated with Spray Safe, any virus or bacteria that comes in contact with it is instantly neutralised. This eliminates the need for frequent sanitising. The best part is that Spray Safe is water based, alcohol free, non-toxic and comes in an easy to spray bottle - simply spray and wipe, and the surface is protected for 90 days.

Spray Safe was launched in December 2020 and is being widely used in schools, offices, homes and cars, keeping our community safe. Their next revolutionary product - Air Protect - a nano-tech coating for air filters rendering the air that passes through virus and bacteria-free - is ready to be launched in the UAE.
