Malabar Gold & Diamonds inaugurates two new showrooms in India

Malabar Gold & Diamonds, one of the largest jewellery retailers globally with a strong retail network of over 250 outlets spread across 10 countries, inaugurated two new showrooms in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha and Anna Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The Bhubaneshwar store was inaugurated by Sabyasachi Mishra (Indian film actor), in the presence of M P Ahammed (Malabar Group chairman); P.A. Ibrahim Haji (Malabar Group co-chairman); O Asher (managing director - India Operations, Malabar Gold & Diamonds); Shamlal Ahamed (managing director - International Operations, Malabar Gold & Diamonds); Abdul Salam KP (group executive director - Malabar Group), P.K Siraj (national retail head, Malabar Gold & Diamonds) and other senior management officials. The store in Anna Nagar, Chennai was inaugurated by Kalanidhi Veeraswamy, Member of Parliament (North Chennai) and other senior management officials. This is the 16th outlet of the brand in Tamil Nadu.

Both the stores are part of the global expansion plan of the jeweller and its vision to strengthen its retail presence in India. "The store in Bhubaneshwar will help us further expand our presence in eastern India in addition to bringing an element of novelty to our main foray into Odisha. Our retail expansion is a part of our plan to become the number one gold retail brand in the world in terms of both showroom count and sales. So, we have plans to triple the number of showrooms in the next five years," said Malabar Group chairman MP Ahammed.
