Korean Exchange Bank opens Dubai rep office
DUBAI - Korea Exchange Bank yesterday opened its representative office in Dubai after receiving a licence from the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of UAE in August this year.
This is the first Korean based bank in this financial emirate. The major Korean companies, Samsung, Hyundai, LG in Dubai obtained banking services from Korean financial institutions in Bahrain in the past but now with the opening of KEB Dubai representative office, the Korean community would avail the wide range of financial services including financial support and other investment advisory activities.
Since 1993 the UAE has emerged as one of the largest exports market for Korea and KEB establishing its office in Dubai would help the Korean companies to a great extent and pave the way for greater participation in investment banking.
