Kodak set to unveil new cameras, photo printers

DUBAI — Eastman Kodak Company will be showcasing their latest EasyShare digital cameras and introducing Kodak's innovative new photo printers at Gitex Dubai 2005.

Having already gained the number one position in Digital Camera sales across the US, Kodak is all geared to launch its latest digital camera range for the Middle East at the premier IT event.

The highlight of this year's participation will be the introduction of the stylish and sleek Kodak EasyShare V-series collection of digital cameras along with the high zoom range from the Kodak EasyShare P-series.

Gitex visitors will also see the highly acclaimed and anticipated Wi-Fi Camera from Kodak, which has already received fantastic reviews for its breakthrough features. The Kodak EasyShare-One will be on display at Kodak's stand.

“Gitex is a vital launch pad for Kodak to announce and showcase our new products to the region. We are geared to meet the challenges and imaging requirements of the new age digital consumer with our new Kodak Easyshare cameras and photo printers, which we will showcase at this years event,’’said Arif Khan, Kodak Mena Area Manager.

The V-series include the Kodak EasyShare V530 and Kodak EasyShare V550 models. These 5.0 MP cameras are the new stylish and colorful zoom digital cameras that appeal to the next generation of snap shooters.

Available in Red, Pink, Silver and Black the V530 is not only good looking but also includes the latest features like recording VGA video quality at 30 frames per second with image stabilisation, 3Xoptical zoom, on-camera picture editing and a 5cm colour display.

The P-Series currently consists of two models, which are engineered for those who have an eye for beauty and a passion for precision.

The Kodak EasyShare P850 is a 5.1MP high Zoom camera with 12X optical zoom and advanced video features including on camera video editing, image stabilization and a host of other features.

The other major highlight from Kodak this Gitex is the launch of its two all new photo printers, the Kodak EasyShare PP300 and Kodak EasyShare PP500. For the first time, Kodak has printers that can be used to print real Kodak pictures from virtually any digital camera, irrespective of the brand.

For shoppers, Kodak's local distributor Emirates Photo Marketing will be running exclusive promotions with discounted prices on most of the Kodak digital cameras and printer docks at Gitex Shopper 2005. The Kodak stand at Gitex is located in Hall 2, stand number A2-3.
