Khaleej Times, in association with Wipro Limited and Intel, hosted a webinar on IT modernisation for regional CIOs and digital transformation leaders recently.

As the world transcends into new ways of working, customer interactions, product value creations, businesses are witnessing technology consumption at greater levels across organisations. It is clear, IT leaders play a crucial role spearheading such tech transformations, navigating challenges around large scale migrations, data security and transparency, operational complexities, compliance etc.


Khaleej Times in association with Wipro and Intel, invited technology leaders from BFSI, retail, oil and gas sectors from UAE to its closed-door virtual webinar to discuss these trends, opportunities and challenges associated with their evolving IT ecosystem, and its modernisation.

The webinar titled Paradigm Shift to modernise your IT with control, compliance and velocity, kickstarted with a welcome note by thought leader Sujay Bhattacharya, Geo Head Middle East, Cloud and Infrastructure Services, Wipro Limited followed by keynote presentation from Yahyah Pandor, CIO, Fine Hygienic Holding. Setting the tone of the event from an industry perspective, Pandor presented some of the key elements to focus on during cloud transformation journeys, and touched upon factors like culture change, network and security, cloud computing risks etc. from Fine Hygienic Holding’s perspective. The session clearly highlighted the importance of moving to cloud as a longterm strategy, and the benefits associated with it.


The presentation on Cloud On-Premise was spearheaded by Mayur Shah, GM and Global Practice Head Data Center Business, Wipro Limited. During the session, Shah highlighted Wipro’s capabilities in offering end to end infrastructure services, cloud transformation capabilities across verticals, functions and industries. Focusing on the commercial model of cloud deployments with Wipro’s Fluid IT framework. During the session he highlighted the importance of Wipro-Intel partnership to leverage tech innovations so as to bring out the best to customers for their cloud Journeys with its Fluid IT framework.

The webinar concluded with a thought provoking and insightful panel discussion led by Industry experts, Aditya Kaushik, Head of IT, Adyard Abu Dhabi LLC, Dr. Haroun Dharsey, Chairman – IT Committee UAE Banking Federation, Swastik Chakraborty, Technical Sales Specialist – Cloud and Analytics at Intel, and Mayur Shah from Wipro respectively. The discussion was around the key trends in the digital transformation space specific to their respective industries, the best practices among today’s CIOs while adopting a multicloud strategy etc.
