A recent wave of boycotts against the multinational coffeehouse chain is part of a larger movement targeting global brands over their alleged support for Israel
The details will be announced at the Middle East Council of Shopping Centres (MECSC) Convention 2004, which will take place from October 4 to 7 at Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
JBR is the “platinum sponsor” for the MECSC Convention and Exhibition.
The Walk would be a retail area where space will be available to entrepreneurs and investors for either sale or leasing. It will consist of two levels, Grade level with Mezzanine and the Plaza level.
Hashim Al Dabal, chief executive officer of Estithmaar Realty, the developers of Jumeirah Beach Residence, said: “We will have more than 25,000 residents enjoying the lifestyle presented by Jumeirah Beach Residence. In addition, we have four luxury hotels, which will attract guests from all over the world. Then, we also have to provide for the residents of the UAE, who are a critical element of essence of what Dubai is all about.”
According to Hashim, The Walk is an entirely new retail concept that has been developed keeping in mind the heritage and ethnicity of the UAE, the Gulf and the region.
