Jazeera Airways eyes Saudi market

JEDDAH — Jazeera Airways, which is based in Kuwait and Dubai, and is the only international airline in the Middle East that is neither owned nor subsidised by any government, plans to have Saudi Arabia among its top three growth markets in the next five years.

“Our ambition not only complements, but stems from the Kingdom’s master plan for increasing the annual number of visitors to Saudi Arabia from 17 million in 2007 to 45.3 million in 2020, and we believe Jazeera Airways can be one of the integral partners of this plan,” Marwan Boodai, Jazeera Airways Chairman and CEO, said in information made available to Khaleej Times here on Sunday.
