Jacky’s Records 60pc Sales Rise During GITEX

DUBAI — Jacky’s Electronics, registered its highest record with an approximate 60 per cent sales increase during Gitex Shopper and Consumer Electronics 2008.

It recorded growth sales in the business phone segment through brand sets such the blackberry, HTC and the Nokia E-series, with the attraction being Blackberry’s newly launched Bold series due to its built-in high speed Internet accessibility and innovative features. “GITEX Shopper continues to be a notebook selling event as a lot of vendors launched sleeker and stylish products with improved looks. Better processing power was also a major driver for the growth this year thanks to technologies such as Intel Centrino 2 processor giving longer battery life and better wireless performance. The innovative designs of HP’s new range of notebooks, Sony Viao and Dell laptops’ rainbow colour models were consistently the most purchased products at Gitex,” said Jimmy Patel, General Manager, Jacky’s Electronics.

“In gaming, with Sony’s Blu-ray technology, Sony PlayStation 3 continues to gain a wider acceptance as well as generating further excitement about the new technology,” he added.
