The meeting discussed the economic, commercial and investment cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop them further and prospects of exploring new avenues for this cooperation.

Shaikh Hamed stressed the importance of stability of situations in Iraq for the sake of the reconstruction process of Iraq, especially the infrastructure and establishment of joint investment ventures between the two countries, noting the availability of several avenues for these investments in Iraq. He further emphasised on the important role that can be played by the UAE private sector and businessmen in contributing to the reconstruction of Iraq, following the hard circumstances the Iraqi people went through over the past years.
