iQ plans to focus on design companies for expansion

DUBAI -Interiors Quotient (iQ), a Dubai-based distributor of foreign brands in furniture and property interiors, is focusing on design companies to expand its business among the residential and commercial buildings.

"We align with the designers; we don't compete with them," said Sunil Prabhakaran, CEO of iQ. "Today the designers need service providers who can translate their concepts on the ground. And this is where we come in."

The company provides design companies quality furniture, contract materials and home and office accessories, he said in a statement yesterday. "We have a clear definition of our target group: the design companies." Backed by the Royal Group of Companies, an Indian manufacturer of building, home improvement and construction products, iQ implementing four business units as part of its regional expansion plan.
