Recently, Dubal signed a Dh1 billion deal with Larsen & Toubro, India's leading diversified engineering and construction conglomerate in the private sector. The deal was for an upstream integration project with 1.4-million tonnes per annum capacity alumina refinery, bauxite mining and development of associated infrastructure including a captive power plant, port facility, a township and related utilities.

“It is indeed gratifying that C M Bhandari planned to visit the Dubal premises. I can only infer from this that the measure of Dubai's success is reflected in Dubal's status as an internationally recognised business success story, and in its field, one of the leading aluminium producers in the world,’’ said Al Tayer.
