Indian architect firm to set up office in Sharjah

DUBAI - Rajiv Khanna & Associates (RKA), an Indian architect firm dealing exclusively in recreation and leisure design work will open its representative office in Sharjah and expand its business in the Middle East. Presently, the company is designing a family fun centre for the Landmark Group at the Reef Mall in Deira, Dubai and looking to fabricate regional joint ventures.

Since the last 23 years, RKA has been designing leisure parks, water and snow parks and other recreation projects and has offices in India, Canada and the US. It will again participate at Theme Parks & Fun Centres 2004 (TPFC) show to be held from April 27 Ð 29 at Dubai International Exhibition Centre.

Rajiv Khanna, director of the company, said: "As an established design consultancy in India , we are now concentrating on the Middle East where we would like to broaden our work base. TPFC was a big success for us last year as we got one project out of it and have others in the pipeline."

He added: "This region is rapidly developing into an international tourist attraction and added recreational and leisure facilities will make it an enviable destination."
