ICAI to hold talk on Indian budget today

DUBAI A talk on the Indian budget is being organised by the Dubai Chapter of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) at the Zabeel Ballroom of the Hotel Intercontinental Dubai tonight at 7pm.

It is open to all Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) residing in the UAE. Up to 1,000 people are expected to attend. The event will be addressed by corporate luminary and well-known speakers from India - Mohandas Pai, rated as the best CFO of the year in India for two consecutive years and also a director of Infosys Technologies Limited, and Arvind Sonde, Taxation Expert and the First Member of the Kelkar Committee constituted by the India's Ministry of Finance and Company Affairs. The Indian Consul-General, Dr George Joseph, will be the chief guest.

Abbas Ali Mirza, Chairman of ICAI Dubai Chapter, said: "It is undoubtedly a growth-oriented, people-friendly, and industry-supportive budget."
