A company official from Juma Al Majid, distributor of Hyundai said that the increase is attributed to strong demand of the all-new Sonata 2005, which was introduced to the UAE market last March, and the wide range of Hyundai cars that became available to suite all market segments.

According to Omar Baddar, marketing manager for Hyundai at Juma Al Majid said: “The company is looking forward to capture a bigger market share in the country in 2005. The results of the first quarter is a good indication for the 2005 overall performance and is definitely encouraging.’’

Hyundai motor vehicles are sold in 193 countries including the UAE through some 5,000 dealerships and showrooms.
