HSBC names new head of corporate unit
DUBAI HSBC Bank Middle East has appointed John Blanthorne as Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking, based in Dubai.
He succeeds Rick Pudner who has been transferred as CEO for HSBC in South Korea. Mr Blanthorne joined HSBC in 1972, and during his career has worked in a wide variety of locations and positions for the Group, including Hong Kong, Brunei, Saudi Arabia and Jordan. Prior to his current appointment, he was HSBC's CEO in New Zealand and most recently CEO in South Korea.
