Energy City Qatar will be developed within the recently unveiled $5 billion Lusail development North of Doha, which will be spread over 35 square kilometres comprising marinas, residential areas, commercial districts, leisure facilities including two golf courses and an entertainment district.

Energy City Qatar is designed as the Middle East’s first integrated energy business centre for the global oil and gas industry. The region holds most of the world’s carbon based energy resources. “Energy City Qatar will be developed through strong regional and global partnerships. It will enhance the flow of inward investments into Qatar and the region in general, adding value to the economic diversification process underway, The appointment of the master planners and architects is one of the salient steps in taking the project ahead,”Janahi said.
“MZ & Partners were selected after an extensive global scrutiny of leading architectural consultancy firms, and we are fully convinced of the company’s expertise and commitment to complete the project on schedule,” he said.
“The appointment of a Doha-based company as the lead consultant and architect is also in line with our strategy to encourage local companies to take part and benefit from the development of Energy City Qatar,” Janahi added.The first phase of the Energy City Qatar was unveiled recently, involving an investment of $1.6 billion.
