Speaking on the sidelines of the third HSBC Open Day for UAE nationals in Dubai yesterday, the minister said that HSBC is one of the best banks in terms of Emiratisation, but all banks are working hard to meet their goals.

"We are also pleased with the figures achieved so far," he added.

The HSBC Open Day provides young and experienced UAE nationals an opportunity to learn about various areas of HSBC's business, including information technology, sales and marketing in addition to general banking, financial planning, information technology, sales and marketing in addition to general banking.

Abdul Jalil Yousuf Darwish, vice chairman and executive director, who hosted the event, said that HSBC remains deeply committed to develop opportunities for the UAE nationals in the financial sector. He said that the bank is keen to attract, recruit, develop and retain the most able and promising UAE nationals at the bank.

"The open day provides suitably qualified and experienced UAE nationals, as well as fresh high school and university graduates the chance to join our growing cadre of national staff, who already make up over 32 per cent, which is equal to 551 employees of our workforce in the UAE," Darwish added.
