The conference will be a forum for professionals to meet and exchange ideas on this burgeoning industry. It will host a strong representation of international and regional speakers. The conference will feature Richard Scott, vice-president of Europe and Asia for Pinnacle Systems's Broadcast Solutions Division, who willspeak on new business models for broadcasters and technology partners. Naser Refaat, a solution architect in Sony Broadcast & Professional, will speak about the problems addressed by Media Management Services and the added value of MXF to asset workflow. "We hope to bring to Gemex a proper business proportion for the media organisation that will meet their business and personal goals. Out products introduce simple processes that people can follow allowing the systems to work for them in the most efficient way," he said. The exhibition, to be held in Halls 5,6, and 7 will be open from 10am Ð 1pm and 5pm - 8:30pm on March 4, 5 and 6.

"Gemex, which is built on the success of the former CABSAT event, will enable visitors to explore the latest trends and technologies fuelling growth of the media industry regionally and globally. Exhibitors come to Dubai to explore the business opportunities the region holds and they expect to secure significant business following the exhibition," said Mr. Mubarak Ahmed bin Fahad, director-general of the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Featured pavilions representing the UK and Bavaria (Germany) underscore Europe's growing interest in the opportunities the Middle East offers to global media players. Companies are keen to take advantage of the many opportunities the region has to offer. Representation from France will feature leading companies, and exhibitors from Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, Switzerland, and the Netherlands will showcase their latest products.
