GE Volunteers Run in RAK Charity Race

DUBAI - General Electric employees in the UAE took part in the Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon, described as the “highest accredited road race in the Middle East” to raise funds for a local charity.

Nineteen GE Volunteers took part in the marathon run covering a distance of 21.095 kilometres and raised over Dh33,000 to be donated to the Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs.

The RAK Half Marathon, currently in the fourth year, is organised under the patronage of Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
