GE and EMC in deal for storage

DUBAI - GE Medical Systems Information Technologies, global pioneers in medical information and technology, and EMC Corporation, world leaders in information storage, have announced a joint agreement which enables GE to offer the full-range of EMC networked storage systems and software to healthcare professionals in the Middle East.

The new healthcare solutions, which will soon be utilised by medical centres across the region, integrate technologies from both companies.

Under the global reseller agreement, EMC becomes a primary provider of automated networked storage systems and software for GE, designed to increase productivity, asset utilisation and efficiency.

GE Medical Systems Information Technologies will offer EMC's Symmetrix(r), CLARiiON(r) and Celerra' networked storage systems and software, including EMC ControlCenter' and PowerPath', as part of its Enterprise Image Management Solution.
