Jan Farnelid, Group Vice President for Human Resources (HR), is responsible for driving the company's HR policies and practices, as well as examining and reviewing ways in which these support the implementation of the Group's globalisation strategy launched early last year.
Jan, who was formerly the Managing Director of GAC India, will also analyse and identify staff motivational needs from various aspects including appraisals, remuneration, training, career development and talent sourcing. Based at the corporate head office in Dubai, Jan reports to Lars Šfverstršm, GAC Group President.
With Jan moving from Mumbai to Dubai to become the Group's first Vice-President for HR, GAC India's new Managing Director is Paul Haegeman. Paul, who was previously General Manager of Andhika GAC in Indonesia, a joint venture between Andhika Lines and GAC, will now oversee GAC's network of 16 offices across India.
Neale Proctor has taken over Paul's position as the General Manager at Andhika GAC. Previously the Regional P&I (Protection & Indemnity) Manager in the Middle East, Neale was instrumental in expanding and strengthening the company's P&I representation network. Both Paul and Neale report to Christer Sjšdoff, GAC Regional Director for Asia Pacific and Indian Subcontinent.
