Furniture major Gautier debuts in Oman

MUSCAT — French home furniture major Gautier has made its debut in Oman by opening a showroom in Ruwi with plans to open more outlets across Muscat.

The 300-square-metre store, featuring a wide range of furniture for bedrooms, living rooms, junior bedrooms and nursery, dining spaces, storage units and other furniture accessories, was inaugurated by Marc Deballon, Counsellor for Economic Affairs at the French Embassy.

“We plan to open more outlets here… We are looking at two, three locations for next year,” Sadiq Mohammed Al Matwani, CEO of Sharikah Fanniyah Omaniyah (SFO), the local Gautier franchise, told a news conference.He said that Gautier was already present in other Gulf states.

SFO General Manager A Vaidya said the French company sold 50 per cent of its products in countries outside France.
