Fujairah unit joins Dubai Aid City

DUBAI - Fujairah Welfare Association joined Dubai Aid City in a supportive step towards serving the humanitarian cause.

Speaking about this initiative, Saif Mohammed Al Etir, director-general of Fujairah Welfare Association, director of the Department of Haj and Umrah at the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs, said that joining DAC would save the cargo cost and expenses of transferring products since it is located at Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafz) near the port and suppliers offering humanitarian aid.

Established in 1998 Fujairah Welfare Association supports the humanitarian projects within and outside the country. The association has offices in many countries, including India, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Palestine and Iraq.

Walid Hareb, project manager of DAC, said that the joining of Fujairah Welfare Association would contribute in supporting the cooperation process between local and international associations working in the field of humanity.
