Exibex, the organisers of Finnovex Global Series, the leading summit on financial services innovation and excellence, unveiled that Finnovex Middle East 2020 will deliberate on financial sector collaboration in the ‘new normal’.
The two-day international summit, themed ‘shaping strategies for a sustainable future’, will take place in a hybrid format with in-person sessions and a simultaneous virtual streaming online on November 3 and 4, 2020.
The summit will feature thought leaders from top banks and financial institutions from the region and beyond as they lay out the transformational goals and will see over 200 delegates attending in-person.
Shabaz Ahmed, executive director at Exibex, said: “Exibex is proud to present Finnovex Middle East 2020 at a time when the finance industry is witnessing a never-before-seen metamorphosis. We are delighted to have the opportunity to organise Finnovex in hybrid format in the UAE, which is perceived among the safest destinations to host global events and exhibitions for diverse international community.”
“Through focused panel discussions, keynote presentations and roundtable discussions, Finnovex will deliver a thorough, nuanced outline of what the future holds for the banking and financial sector in the Middle East as we head into the 2021 with a completely disrupted market after the emergence of the Covid-19,” he added.
Kanchi Shah, head of communications and production, Exibex, said: “The ‘new normal’ is already here. As countries ease off restrictions and markets resume economic activity, we are all witnessing the impact of the pandemic on consumer behaviour, spending and consumption patterns, as well as societal norms. The undisputed fact is that economically we are falling short of where we expected to be in 2020.”
“And while we grapple to find our footing in the new normal, we at Exibex would like to present Finnovex Middle East 2020, which will act as a driver in creating a roadmap within this new normal to recover from the after effects of the pandemic and emerge stronger to not just achieve the expected levels of innovation and excellence, but to supersede them,” she added.
According to Ahmed, the financial services industry is traversing an extraordinary set of challenges. “From a surge in consumer expectations, to regulatory turmoil; from tedious new capital and liquidity requirements; to the rise of challenger banks and new disruptive market entrants. With diminishing physical transactions, we are observing a new trend where, digital banks are catering not only to millennials but all sections of the population eager to access their services.”
“The two-day summit will discuss the roles of banking and non-banking institutions, financial organisations, investment firms, fintech companies and other stakeholders in developing incentives to the paradigm shift in the sector,” Kanchi said.
Finnovex ME 2020 The summit will offer stakeholders in the industry latest financial marketing ideas, actionable insights, networking, learning from the best in the business, get ahead of the competition, gain a new fresh perspective and get excited.
