Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce visits DCCI

DUBAI — Majed Hamad Al Shamsi, second vice President of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) received a delegation from the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce headed by Sabahudeen Mohammed Al Salhi, yesterday at the chambers.

The main objective of the meeting was to gain information on the rules and economic polices and experiencing the DCCI tasks in serving the business community in Dubai.

Al Shamsi explained DCCI's role in developing and supporting the business and industrial activities as well as economical sectors. He indicated the strategy that DCCI applied few years ago that fulfills the needs and requirements of the business to be set up in the UAE. He also mentioned that there are 18 Business Group operating under the DCCI's umbrella as well as 32 Business Councils and Dubai Women Council, which play an important role in developing the business.

The meeting was attended by Abdul Rahman G. Al Mutaiwee, director general of DCCI and Sultan Majed Lootah manager of business promotion along with Khursheed Ahmed Saleem, Saad Dhaher Yousef, Abdul Ameer Hameedi, Reyadh Al Alwani members of the Iraqi federation.

Al Mutaiwee explained the DCCI tasks and how it serves the business community in Dubai and some new services the DCCI will offer soon which credit rating services in cooperation with Coface and Dubai Trading Point.
