FCA 2004 budget discussed

DUBAI - Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and Industry along with the Federal Customs Authority (FCA) Board of Directors,yesterday discussed the FCA 2004 budget and a number of issues with the aim to enhance FCA's work and reach optimal efficiency.

The meeting was attended by Dr Mohammed Khalfan bin Kharbash, Minister of state for Financial and Industrial Affairs. Mr Mohamed Al Muhairi, FCA general manager briefed the board about FCA's achievements during the past twelve months,which included the furnishing of Federal Customs Authority offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, finalising the financial regulations and participating in a number of regional customs meetings.

Al Muhairi also elaborated to the board members on the accounting system used for customs clearance between the UAE and AGCC member countries.
