Expo Centre offers Hot Spot facility
SHARJAH - Expo Centre Sharjah has introduced a revolutionary technology - the region's first public 'Hot Spot' wireless data, Internet and telephone connectivity at its 128,000 square metre complex.
This new facility has been implemented keeping in mind the nine shows scheduled from September to December this year. The forthcoming events are the Indonesian and Thailand shows followed by the Middle East Industrial show and the Sharjah World Book Fair. With the help of Lead Retrieval, an in-house application developed by the ExpoCentre IT Department, exhibitors will get the facility to use Netvision Data Phones to access the details of the visitors through barcodes on their entry cards. Khoder Hawilo, IT manager of ExpoCentre Sharjah, said: "Ours is the only exhibition complex in the region to allow exhibitors access to phones through wireless technology and access to Internet through laptops or PDA."
