The Evolvence Capital Semi-Exotic Equity Derivatives (ECSEED) Fund is a $150 million, open ended fund that will leverage the attractive valuations and high volatility in the GCC equity markets by investing in equity derivatives. The main objective of the fund is to manage the market risk and enhance the returns by investing in equity and equity related instruments. Derivatives are financial instruments based on underlying securities including interest rate and equities; currently they trade over the counter in the Gulf. The ECSEED fund will invest in local blue chips with high potential through risk management and yield enhancement processes that will be implemented using a combination of basic derivatives like calls, puts futures and swaps on equity and interest rates.
