UAE announces fuel prices: How much will a full tank cost in January 2026?

Depending on the type of vehicle you drive, getting a full tank of petrol in January will cost you a bit less than in December 2025

The UAE on Wednesday (December 31) announced the fuel prices for the month of January 2026, with the Fuel Prices Monitoring Committee decreasing rates in 2026, bringing relief to residents at the start of the new year.

The approved fuel prices by the Ministry of Energy are determined every month, according to the average global price of oil, whether up or down, after adding the operating costs of distribution companies.

The new rates will apply from January 1 and are as follows:

Depending on the type of vehicle you drive, getting a full tank of petrol in January 2026 will cost you between Dh8.67 and Dh12.58 less than in December.
