The UAE's fuel retailer Adnoc and Enoc on Sunday announced opening more outlets and convenience stores in the country.

Adnoc Distribution, the UAE's largest fuel and convenience retailer, opened four new service stations in the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD) 3, Mouzaz, Khalifa City and Al Khubaisi in Al Ain.

Ahmed Al Shamsi, Acting CEO of Adnoc Distribution, said: "We have continued to implement initiatives that help our customers to stay safe when making their essential journeys, and we recognize that fuel is one such necessity."

Conceptualised by an in-house team of designers, they can be constructed in just four months and are smart technology enabled. The next-generation stations allow customers to shop at Adnoc Oasis convenience stores from the comfort of their own vehicles by ordering on a tablet and then collecting their items from the drive-thru.

Dubai-based Enoc Group also opened new service station in Al Dhaid, Sharjah. This is the 144th service station of Enoc and the 5th by the Group to open in the emirate of Sharjah.

Enoc Group had accelerated the opening of the service station in light of the current situation, ensuring that frontline professionals and other essential service providers have easy access to fuel and other convenience store products.

Expanding its presence in Sharjah is further testament to Enoc's long-term strategy of strengthening its retail operations across the nation with the goal of operating 193 service stations by 2021.

Spread across 40,000 square feet, the new Enoc service station incorporates state-of-the-art technologies and innovative features and will serve customers living in Al Dhaid. The station features a Zoom convenience store with Grab & Go concept.

Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO, Enoc, said: "The new service station in Sharjah highlights our commitment to investing in the country's infrastructure to meet both short-term and long-term fuel needs. The opening of the station now further enables frontline staff and emergency service providers to access fuel easily, which we believe is critical in supporting the sterlisation programme. We are honoured to meet the fuel needs of emergency services and stand by them as they are the real heroes fighting this pandemic and saving lives."
