Emirates Group companies to give key support for Dubai 2003

DUBAI - The Emirates Group continues to play a pivotal role in the countdown to Dubai 2003, the 58th IMF/World Bank meeting being held between 21st and 23rd September.On the heels of Emirates Airline becoming the Official Airline of the event, two Emirates Group companies have now joined forces to provide important support to the event.

World of Events, Dnata's event management unit, and Arabian Adventures, Emirates' destination management company, have signed an agreement to jointly recruit, train and manage over 1,100 staff who will assist delegates attending Dubai 2003.

Shaikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Emirates Group said: "The Emirates Group is committed to making Dubai 2003 a phenomenal success.We have dedicated resources, staff and facilities to ensure that every delegate and participant takes away lasting memories of our city." The Event Staffing project is being undertaken for the Dubai 2003 organising committee.The agreement confirming the collaboration was signed recently by Rashid Al Noori, Senior Vice President Dnata Agencies, and Frederic Bardin, Vice President Arabian Adventures.

Al Noori said: "Dubai 2003 is the largest event of its kind ever to take place in Dubai. Dnata Agencies is keen to play its part in supporting the organising committee and helping to ensure its success. Our cooperation with Arabian Adventures is an example of how Dubai is working together to deliver a world-class meeting." World of Events and Arabian Adventures have been working since 1 May to manage the Event Staffing project for Dubai 2003 in which more than 1,100 people have been recruited and trained, and will be managed for the various activities planned during the meetings. Bardin added: "The common goal of this effort is to offer the organising committee of Dubai 2003 a key element in turning the event and Dubai itself into an unforgettable experience for the delegates. By pooling the experience and skills of our two organisations, we will be making a solid contribution to the overall success of Dubai 2003."
