In his speech, Shaikh Hamed expressed pleasure over selection of Abu Dhabi as one of the world’s leading emerging economies.

“It is no surprise for me that Oxford Business Group, (OBG) as one of the world’s foremost research and publishing companies with a focus on the world’s emerging markets has chosen Abu Dhabi as one of the leading

emerging economies on both a regional and a global level,’ Shaikh Hamed said.

“This event,” he continued, “underlines the importance of foreign investment in Abu Dhabi and highlights the emirate’s commitment to the promotion of Abu Dhabi and its economy to foreign investors.”

He concluded his speech by saying: “We hope that through this launch of the annual economic and political review “Emerging Abu Dhabi 2006" we confirm and assure our commitment to creating a stable, fair and attractive environment for investors from all over the world. We welcome such world-class research on Abu Dhabi in order to attract investment.’
