This innovation will enable businesses to create exact duplicates of business information, while the original application continues to run online. Currently, IT managers have to copy data manually, which can be time-consuming and can result in inaccurate information and costly mistakes.

"As EMC's customers in the Middle East work toward leveraging a single view of all of their data and reducing costs, automation is vital - this is the foundation of EMC's AutoIS strategy. EMC and Oracle are working closely together to successfully automate a tedious, error-prone process for customers in the region," said Qais Gharaibeh, EMC Middle East's regional partner sales manager.

Through collaborative engineering and testing within Oracle's development laboratories, EMC and Oracle successfully overcame many of the labour and business disruption challenges inherent in the process of application cloning. "The combination of Oracle and EMC technologies helps customers outsmart, outrun and outperform their competition," said Ayman Abouseif, marketing director, Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, Oracle Corp.
