Chanin Donavanik, CEO and managing director of Dusit International, said the new project would bring to three the number of Dusit hotels in Dubai, which is now one of the world's leading destinations for business and leisure travellers.

"Coupled with the existing 300-room Dusit Dubai Hotel, Dusit's latest various project agreements will make Dusit's presence in [Dubai and] the Middle East much stronger," Donavanik said in a Press statement. He said the new project in Dubai involves two hotels-the luxurious six-star Dusit Devarana and Dusit Thani-and the exclusive Dusit Residence whose groundbreaking would be announced separately from the first two properties.

Dusit Devarana is a luxury hotel with Indian-inspired architecture and 114 large rooms and suites while Dusit Thani is a Moroccan-inspired property with 272 rooms and suites.
