The meeting discussed issues relating to the tourism industry in the emirate and ways to strengthen the industry and better coordination among various government organisations to attract more visitors to the emirate.
The meeting was chaired by DTCM Director General Khalid A bin Sulayem and attended by senior officials from DTCM and Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) in addition to representatives from the two groups.
They discussed “Rediscover Dubai” programme that will be jointly conducted soon by DTCM and Emirates Airlines in association with hotels and tour operators.
The familiarisation programme will bring 2000 tour operators and media representatives from various parts of the world and help the efforts to promote Dubai in established and emerging tourism outsource markets.
The meeting also discussed various promotional and marketing campaigns that DTCM is taking in certain markets.
