The agreement was signed by Hamad Fadhel Al Mazrooi,acting director general, Dubai Customs and Mohammed Abdullah Al Mohrezi, director general, Ras Al Khaimah Customs who were accompanied by Suhail Al Banna, director, IT, Ports Customs and Free Zone Corporation and several senior officials from both customs authorities.
Mazrooi, said: "We are pleased that this agreement has come as a direct result of the progressive co-operation between Dubai Customs and Ras Al Khaimah Customs in all fields. We also hope that this sophisticated system contributes towards facilitating the electronic integration that is currently being applied among all the country's customs departments."
Mohrezi, said: "The training courses that several Ras Al Khaimah Customs' employees have attended at the Dubai Customs demonstrates vast awareness. Custom operations are highly integrated and demand collaboration and coordination among custom authorities.The 'e-Mirsal' is a direct system for electronically submitting and sharing information that has been developed by Dubai Customs for paper-free customs transaction and document handling, which created the shared vision between Dubai Customs and its partners for a more advanced future."
