Dubai to host e-govt specialists forum

DUBAI - Worldwide e-Government specialists will meet at the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, UAE on May 24 to May 26 for The 10th AGCC e-Government & Telecom Forum. The 10th AGCC e-Government and Telecom Forum is organised under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Chairman of Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority.

The forum emphasises on a planned approach to e-Government by highlighting e-initiatives that have improved delivery of government services.

It brings together regional government technology leaders with experts, who run worldwide e-Government projects. Dr Salah Abdul Rahman Al Adil, President of King Abdul Aziz City for Science & Technology, Saudi Arabia will address at the opening session of the forum.

Dr Salah will present a case study on the e-Government initiatives in Saudi Arabia.

Dr Rafat Radhwan, Chairman of IDSC Egypt, Mr Salem Khamis Al Shair, Director e-Services of Dubai e-Government are some of the other key e-government leaders from the region set to address the forum.

Robert Hilty, President, e-comtrust International Association Switzerland, will be the opening speaker for the e-Government Security Best Practices session.
