Dubai Lifestyle City plans similar lifestyle projects in other markets

DUBAI — Encouraged by the response received for its first Dh2.4 billion JW Marriott-branded luxury lifestyle project in Dubai, Dubai Lifestyle City (DLC), part of the ETA Star Ascon Group, is considering similar lifestyle projects in the UAE, and internationally.

In addition to Jumeirah Village in Dubai and the Madagascar Island on The World, Dubai Lifestyle City is currently considering emerging markets like India for replicating this luxury lifestyle project. Besides JW Marriott, DLC has partnered with well-known international brands like Microsoft, Cisco and IMG Academies.

Commenting on DLC’s expansion plans, Arif B. Rahman, Managing Director of DLC, said, “The DLC project based in Dubailand has been well-received by home-owners looking for the best in luxury and hospitality. Its multi-functional format comprising of the best brands embodies the concept of “haute living”. After witnessing large demand from high net worth segments in major markets replicating the DLC concept in these markets was the next logical step.”

Dubai Lifestyle City is the first JW Marriott-branded residential project .

Marriott International is to add 39 more hotels to its current portfolio of 26 in the Middle East, Bill Marriott was quoted as saying in Dubai recently. “The region is a linchpin in the company’s long-term vision to expand global distribution that supports its business strategy.”
