DTCM holds programme on hospitality industry

DUBAI — The local workforce in the hospitality sector in UAE and overall in AGCC countries is significantly limited and in order to boost the career prospects for 'locals' in hospitality industry, Emiratisation Task Force for Tourism at the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) recently organised 'TANMIA Employment Officer Hospitality Industry Familiarisation Programme.'

The programme, held at Mina A' Salam, aimed at giving the concerned DTCM officials a better understanding of the hospitality industry and highlight career opportunities available to UAE nationals in this booming industry. The programme, organised for the first time, was attended by the DTCM Taskforce members and selected TANMIA career officers. Ibrahim Yaqoot, the DTCM Manager, human Resources at DTCM said: "The workshop of DTCM' was part of its endeavor to encourage UAE nationals to take up jobs in the tourism industry.''
