The gas will be delivered to the Ras Al Khaimah Gas Commission via a tie-in, near Qidfa in Fujairah with the existing Emarat gas pipeline network which serves the country's northern emirates. A quantity of 40 million cubic feet will be supplied daily for a period of two years and five months through to end of July 2007.

The gas sales agreement was signed yesterday by Shaikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah on behalf of Ras Al Khaimah Gas Commission and Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Chief Executive Officer of Dolphin.

"Dolphin is delighted to establish this working relationship with Ras Al Khaimah, supplying natural gas to the emirate for the firt time," Mr. Al Sayegh said. He expressed the hope to gain a sound understanding of the emirate's requirements to establish a basis for future expansion of supply.

Dolphin is supplying gas to the emirate, further to the company's signing a Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement (GSPA) with Oman Oil Company in February 2003.

The Dolphin Company was created to develop substantial energy projects throughout the AGCC states with the objective of creating long-term economic wealth and new business opportunities. Its first initiative, the Al Ain-Fujairah Pipeline, came on stream in January this year. The pipeline supplies the Fujairah Water and Power Plant on the country's east coast, initially with natural gas from Oman, and subsequently with Dolphin gas from Qatar. Dolphin Total of France and Occidental Petroleum Corporation of the US own Energy 51 percent by Mubadala Development Company on behalf of the Government of Abu Dhabi and 24.5 per cent each.
