Dollar trims losses vs euro after US jobless claims

NEW YORK - The dollar trimmed losses against the euro on Thursday, after U.S. initial jobless claims fell in the latest week, suggesting the labor market’s recovery is on track.

The euro dipped to $1.2243 against the dollar after the data from about $1.2267 previously. It last traded at $1.2248, still up 0.7 percent. Against the yen, the dollar rose to 90.44 yen, from 90.27 just before.
