The DCCI prepared a certain questionnaire on its web site to inquire about the members' requirements of services to be available at the new building, in addition to any other facilities they require to help complete their commercial transactions, which are partially being carried out at the DCCI's current office in Jebel Ali.

Abdul Rahman Ghanem Al Mutaiwee, Director-General of DCCI, said that the chamber's building in Jebel Ali Free Zone would help offer investors and businessmen working there with the best quality commercial services they required to carry out their business.

The project reflects the DCCI's interest over supporting its members, wherever they are, with all possible help to improve their work and activities and meet their requirements to make Dubai the most competitive among the world business markets.

The DCCI's new building project in Jebel Ali has been decided by the chamber's administrative management which realised the importance of upgrading and extending the current DCCI's office in Jebel Ali through setting up a complete new building to provide all kinds of commercial services to investors and the DCCI's members.

“The new building is to be built on a 3,000 square metre plot at the Jebel Ali Free Zone. It will provide all kinds of commercial services to about 5,000 companies working in the Free Zone. The building will also house our commercial services hall and other meeting rooms for the use of the members. It is expected to start operation in the beginning of 2006,’’ added Al Mutaiwee.

He noted that the questionnaire will include various questions to be answered by the concerned members about the type and level of services they expect to receive from the DCCI, in addition to stating their recommendations about adding new services, which could help improve their business and activities.

They will be asked to fill in some information about their companies and how much they are aware of the Dubai Chamber's services, departments and supervision over 33 business councils and 18 business groups.
