DCCI sets up Egyptian Business Council

DUBAI - The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced the establishment of the Egyptian Business Council, which will operate under its umbrella along with the 22 other business councils already established by the DCCI. Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Banna, Deputy Director-General of the DCCI, yesterday met Abdul Aziz Daoud, Egyptian Consul-General in the UAE, and Farouk Mohammad, Chairman of the formation committee, which was set up by the DCCI to coordinate the establishment of the council, and the articles of association.

Al Banna added that DCCI would study the constitution submitted by the committee for approval the Business Policies and Legal Services Department and the Department of Trade and Industrial Development of DCCI.

Al Banna explained that following the approval from the DCCI of the constitution to ensure it conforms to business councils' rules and objectives, the formation committee will prepare the membership forms to be distributed among members from the Egyptian business community in Dubai.
