DCCI receives Vietnamese delegation

The meeting was also attended by Tariq Hilal Loota, director of trade and industrial development department.

Al Shamsi welcomed the delegation and discussed a visit of a Vietnam delegation from seafood sector, which included more than 20 companies and potential opportunities in the seafood sector in Dubai, and the size of the market.

Shamsi explained that Dubai import, export and re-export to several destinations all around the world since Dubai is famous of its strategic location and it is reputation.

Commenting on the business potential, Dr Hong said that she wish their visit to Dubai will be the first step that build up the strong commercial relations between the two countries, and she is looking forward to held another meeting in Vietnam.

Al Shamsi highlighted the exhibitions which are held in Dubai that attract attendees form Gulf countries, the Asian east countries and Europe. He explained as well the participation of international companies and their excellent contribution to these exhibitions.

Briefing the delegation, Lootah said the Gulf Food Exhibition which will be held in February is a great opportunity for the businessmen who are interested about the food and seafood industry.

Dr Neguyen Huu Dong the general secretary of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers invited the DCCI to visit Vietfish Exhibition 2006 which is held annually in June.
